Access the RAM network remotely using EchoLink

Connecting via EchoLink

EchoLink allows licensed amateur radio operators to connect to repeaters and other stations over the internet using a computer or smartphone. It is commonly used to access a repeater network while travelling or when out of RF range.

Requirements

  • A valid amateur radio license
  • Your callsign validated on the EchoLink system (see echolink.org for validation instructions)
  • The EchoLink app, available for Windows, iOS, and Android

Connecting to the RAM Network

VA4RAM-L is the EchoLink connection into the RAM Remote Users Hub (AllStar node 478792). Connecting to it links you into the same hub used by stations on the air.

  1. Open the EchoLink app and sign in with your validated callsign
  2. Search for VA4RAM-L and connect

To disconnect when finished, use the disconnect button in the app.
