Access the RAM network remotely using EchoLink
Connecting via EchoLink
What is EchoLink?
EchoLink allows licensed amateur radio operators to connect to repeaters and other stations over the internet using a computer or smartphone. It is commonly used to access a repeater network while travelling or when out of RF range.
Requirements
- A valid amateur radio license
- Your callsign validated on the EchoLink system (see echolink.org for validation instructions)
- The EchoLink app, available for Windows, iOS, and Android
Connecting to the RAM Network
VA4RAM-L is the EchoLink connection into the RAM Remote Users Hub (AllStar node 478792). Connecting to it links you into the same hub used by stations on the air.
- Open the EchoLink app and sign in with your validated callsign
- Search for VA4RAM-L and connect
To disconnect when finished, use the disconnect button in the app.
