To prepare for your certification exam, we recommend the official Canadian Amateur Radio Basic Operator’s Qualification Study Guide published by Coax Publications. RAM offers these study guides for purchase locally, or you can order them directly from Radio Amateurs of Canada (RAC).

ISED Practice Exams - Essential Study Tool
One of the most important components of your exam preparation is Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada’s (ISED) online practice exam generator. ISED is the federal government department that oversees amateur radio licensing in Canada.
Study Tip: Complete these practice exams daily, whether you’re self-studying or taking a course. When you consistently score over 90% on the practice exams, you’re ready to schedule your official examination.

Advanced Amateur Radio Qualification
While RAM currently does not offer an Advanced Qualification course, we do make the Canadian Amateur Radio Advanced Operator’s Qualification Study Guide by Coax Publications available for purchase through our online store.
For those seeking to take an Advanced course, Radio Amateurs of Canada (RAC) periodically offers Advanced Qualification courses. These courses fill up quickly, so register early when they become available.
