Technical Committee Update

Les.Net and Osborne Site Maintenance

RAM technical crew completes critical maintenance at Les.Net and Osborne sites, restoring connectivity and laying groundwork for Marion site deployment.

On Friday, the RAM technical crew completed work at the Les.Net site, replacing the 3.5 GHz link radio and re-establishing network connectivity to the Marion site. With this link now active, the Marion site is ready for equipment installation over the winter months, marking a key step toward bringing it online.

Today, the team also visited the Osborne site to address a loose bolt on the VE4WRS VHF antenna and replaced the 5 GHz backhaul radio linking to St. James, restoring redundant connectivity to VA4STC. In addition, a spare 5 GHz link was re-pointed toward Marion to begin establishing a direct connection between the two sites.

These upgrades improve link reliability across the Winnipeg network and set the foundation for expanded coverage and redundancy within the RAM infrastructure.

We appreciate the continued support of Les.Net as our ISP, providing both connectivity and hosting for our network infrastructure.
